SMEG USA Inc., and each of its United States based operating subsidiaries and affiliates, (collectively, “SMEG” or “we”) is concerned about your privacy and wants to be transparent about how we collect, use and disclose information. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices of collecting, protecting, using and disclosing your Personal information in connection with the operation of our www.smeg.com websites (the “Website”), through our software applications in which you are able to use or access on or through computers and mobile devices (the “Apps”), through our social media pages that we control from which you are accessing this Privacy Policy (collectively, our “Social Media Pages”), as well as through HTML- formatted email messages that we send to you that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, including the Websites, the Apps and our Social Media Pages, the “Services”).  Your access to this Website and use of our Services and products, means you agreed to the terms in this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions [Link to Terms and Conditions Page].

We collect information you provide to us directly and we also collect information through third parties. When you register for our newsletter, send us your CV, purchase via e-commerce, register your appliance you will be asked to provide personal information. “Personal Information” is information that identifies you as an individual, including, without limitation:

  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Credit card information

 

We may use a third-party payment service to process payments made through the Services.       •  Through your browser or device: Most browsers or devices automatically collect certain information, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, computer type (Windows or Macintosh), screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, Internet browser type and version and the name and version of the Services you are using. We collect this information to ensure that the Services function properly.

      • We reserve the right to allow outside advertisement companies to display on the SMEG Sites. These ads may independently contain cookies, therefore we do not have access to this information.
      • Using pixel tags and other similar technologies: Pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) may be used in connection with some Services to, among other things, track the actions of users of the Services (including email recipients), measure the success of our marketing campaigns and compile statistics about usage of the Services and response rates.
      • IP Address: Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) automatically assigns a number to the computer that you are using known as an "IP Address". An IP Address may be identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever a user accesses the Services, along with the time of the visit and the page(s) that were visited. Collecting IP Addresses is standard practice and is done automatically by many websites, applications and other services.       We seek to use commercially reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect Personal Information within our organization.       Unfortunately, some people may purport to represent SMEG who do not. When SMEG becomes aware that someone or some company is using SMEG without our authorization, SMEG will take reasonable steps designed to stop that activity.
